Cottage Garden Tour

You are invited to our Cottage

Come on up the road
Keep comin

Almost there
Come on in..... I want my flowers to meet you!

Yellow Peony tree
Pink Peony
Our side porch and court yard
{summer of 2007}
I have pretty plates planted in my garden
Burgundy wine monarda... a wonderful treat for the bees
This shabby flamingo lives under the hydrangea bush
{one of the many statues that grace our gardens}
A precious cherub sits at the top of the waterfall, getting her feet wet to stay cool!
Love the contrast of the siberian iris and the orange crepe paper like poppys!
Do you hear the sound of water trickling down the waterfall?

This is our pond before
{my mothers day gift from my sweet hubby Mr. Cherry Heart}

The waterfall creates such a soothing sound!
We enjoy it inside the house and outside when on the porch and working in the yard!
The pond and waterfall are not finished but coming along slowly!
Mmmm..... Pink peonies are one of my favorite flowers!

The inside of a poppy looks like velvet!
My poppys did very well this year!
I have'nt bored you yet!
Ok keep walking there is more to see!
Jumping jacks {viola}
jump about the flower beds planting themselves wherever they desire!
Lilacs.... an old fashion favorite
Cottage hollyhocks remind me of my grammas' garden!
Do you see what I see?
This is a head board from an old iron bed!
I planted it in the flowerbed to pose as a gate!
{a fake gate}
I am looking for 2 birdies to perch on the knobs and a sign to hang on the center of the heart!

Hubbys aunt gave me this cute lil rocker!
She knows I am a chair lover {hoarder}
Our courtyard and porch in 2006
Notice the pillars are one color, no pond and all the plants are so small!
This was our 2nd summer in our new home!!
I love using mirrors in the garden!
Do you use mirrors in your flower beds?
The fairies love it!
Frances William hosta!

Purple cone flower {echinechea}
My first rose of 2008
The east side of our courtyard!

My latest and most favorite flea market find!
When I saw this vintage shabby chippy pram I knew it would be perfect in the garden!

I hope you enjoyed my cottage garden tour!

Dolly, that was one of the most gorgeous gardens I've ever seen. I adore the way you added all the fun stuff like mirrors and plates, chairs and the doll carriage. Where do you live? Your garden and home are so beautiful and big.

I live on a tini tiny plot of land and my garden is very small, but I do love it here.

It was a great visit. I really enjoyed it all.

Hi Dolly,

Great YARD and Gardens!!

The next time we are "tentatively" planning on coming to the cottage is the 18th, 19th and 20th!!! I'm trying to talk hubs into making it a morning thing and after your market stopping by "Fred's" in Gladwin too.

Hopefully, this time will work well for us and the weather will cooperate. How was the 4th of July weekend for your market? Do you have fresh fruits and veggies for sale too? I hope so.

Blessings,

Sher
