Here I am....

Oh it feels so good to sit down and catch up with you all!
I have been so busy these past 2 weeks with getting everything done and ready for our grand opening I have had little time for anything else!
Every day last week was the count down for "opening day", four more days, two more days, one more day etc!

Hubby came walking in the house on friday and handed me flowers and said happy anniversary!
I forgot our anniversary... can you believe it!
I felt so bad!
Truth be told hubby forgot too!

He went to the bank and was writing a check that afternoon when he realized what the date was !
He knew I forgot... and I was forgiven!
After working hard all day we went out for dinner at our favorite chinese restaurant to celebrate!

*I love you with all my heart honey*
Flea Market news......
The grand opening went really really well!

The weather was fabulous {we all got fried}
We had a full house and all of my vendors were very happy with their sales!
Many said they would come back and bring friends!
No I did not get any pictures. {sorry}

I was so busy making sure everything went well.....
Meeting new people and talking to perspective vendors!

I will try to get some this weekend!
{thank you all for your well wishes and positive thoughts}
~~~~~~
This is one of the signs I painted.....
what no cherries??? lol
Today is a very special day!
Our grandson turns 13 today!
Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday dear Tyler
Happy Happy Birthday to youuuuuuuu
{left lane}
This was Tylers' first year on the track team and he did really well!
Ty spent his first 5 years with me!
His momma wanted to finish her schooling and had to work full time,
so Ty and I were together until he went off to kindergarden!
He is my little man, my pride and joy!
I can't believe he is 13 years old already!
Happy Birthday Bean.... Gramma Luvs ya!!!!
Thank you for stopping by!
I hope you had a beautiful weekend!
Come to our Flea Market
~~Our new business adventure~~
A little over a year ago I purchased this property.
It has a little amish house on it that we were going to fix up for our daughter and grandbabies, but plans changed and the house sits empty and the property is not being used!
Soooooooo hubby and I are going to open a Flea Market there!
** Green Acres Flea Market Gladwin **
We are excited.
There are no Flea Markets in our area....
We live in a small town surrounded by farms, lakes and alot of summer cottages. So every weekend during the summer our little town is booming with downstate weekenders!
This is why I have not been able to post as often or visit as often!
I cannot tell you how many phone calls and people I have talked to to get this rolling!
Everyone is excited... and positive!
We will have our Grand Opening May 24th and May 25th
I have ads in the local and surrounding area newspapers.... a Website and an ad on Craigs list!
Plus we have been hanging fliers anywhere and everywhere!
So far I have had a great number of booths reserved... vendors selling anything from garage sale items to handmade crafty things and antiques!
{I know I have to be very careful that I don't spend more then we make} :-)
And if all goes well...
see that barn on the right side of the picture... we will renovate it and that will be my cherry heart boutique!
Ladies I would love to hear your ideas and suggestions as to what you love about Flea Markets and what makes your experience one that makes you want to come back!
Wish us luck and if you are ever in Gladwin please come and visit!
WELCOME SPRING.....
Spring has finally sprung darlin.....
Ouuu.... it is my favorite season....
I love all the newness!
The new grass, the new leaves on the trees, the new flowers and new birdies!
Come.... take a walk with me to see whats NEW in the garden this morning.
A momma bird has built her nest just above the door to our future guest cottage!
{right now it is our daughters' hang out "shack"}
We are all excited,
waiting for the first eggs
and then the first babies to poke their lil beaks out!
Hmmm... the pink/purple tulips are just about to open!
The daffodils are such frilly little girls.... they make me smile!
God painted the violas with such vibrant colors!
Don't you love their delicate lil faces!
I am not sure what kind of tree this is but I sure enjoy her blossoms each spring!
Some call the violet a weed.... I call it a welcome guest!
She grows freely where ever she wants to in our yard.
We have some in the grass and some in the flower beds and some in the cracks of the cobblestone paths!
Oh my.... the hens and chickens have mulitpied!
We have lots of babies this year!
Oh I wish you could feel this plant!
It's called lambs ear but we call it bunny ears!
It is so soft it actually feels just like bunny ears!
Children love to play with it!
My hosta bed is waking up!
The leaves are pokeing out and unwhirling!
I do hope my peonys have lots of huge blooms this year!
I anticipate a vase full that you can smell through out the whole house!
The lilac trees are loaded with buds!
Ouuuuuu don't you love the smell of lilac trees when they are all in bloom?
My earliest memory in the garden was mommas lilac tress that bloom every mothers day!
Thank you joining me!
I wish you all a wonderful and blessed mothers day!
You've got mail....
"Let's go get the mail Poppy"
This is one of my favorite pictures!
Can you feel the love?
Hubby is such a good poppy...
he treats all of the women in his life like they are his one and only princess!
I am so blessed to share my life with this wonderful man!
My Gal Pal Shannon is having a fun summer time swap!
*** Parasols and Paper ***
Here is the scoop......
Shannon suggests you send your partner 2 PARASOL items.
Handmade or store bought!
Put your creative hats on.....
Maybe you are lucky enough to find a real parasol,
or perhaps some linen with parasols on them....
maybe you could make some sweet parasol tags, create a painting of a parasol... the possibilities are endless.
Now for the PAPER part.
**Oh La La we all love pretty paper**
You are to send 3 items of gorgeous paper..
it could be wrapping paper, wallpaper, vintage paper...
get creative and go crazy!!!
Sounds like fun!!!!!
