Many hands make lite work...

Yesterday my girlfriends and I got together to can sweet corn!
We shucked and shucked till we could'nt shuck any more!

Here's a batch ready to be put in the jars....
Look at all them kernals
Mmm... is your mouth watering?????

Dora and Ida are hard at work filling jars......

Yes we even put the guys to work...
Dave and hubby emptied the pressure cookers while Kay supervised!
All total we canned 120 pints of corn and 20 pints of dill pickels!
It was a very productive day!

I am outta here for a day or two...

You and your DH are in my prayers until you say everything is OK. Please keep me posted.

There is nothing better than fresh canned corn with real butter! Oh, goodness, my mouth is drooling. I think I have to run to the farmer's market right now!

I don't think I have ever seen so much corn! My son would have been delighted - he LOVES corn. He may have even been able to get his fill.

I hope all goes well with your husband's surgery.
