Many hands make lite work...

Yesterday my girlfriends and I got together to can sweet corn!
We shucked and shucked till we could'nt shuck any more!

Here's a batch ready to be put in the jars....
Look at all them kernals
Mmm... is your mouth watering?????

Dora and Ida are hard at work filling jars......

Yes we even put the guys to work...
Dave and hubby emptied the pressure cookers while Kay supervised!
All total we canned 120 pints of corn and 20 pints of dill pickels!
It was a very productive day!

I am outta here for a day or two...
Hubby is haveing surgury tomorrow!
Keep him in your prayers!

There is nothing better than fresh canned corn with real butter! Oh, goodness, my mouth is drooling. I think I have to run to the farmer's market right now!

That's quite an assembly line you've got going there. Lot's of work, but it always goes much faster when your surrounded by friends.

I don't think I have ever seen so much corn! My son would have been delighted - he LOVES corn. He may have even been able to get his fill.
