Could have been Dollys treasures.....
{You can click to enlarge pics}
I went with hubby to the scrap yard the other day
to help unload his truck full of rusty scrap metal stuff.
Oh my gosh the saying
"One mans trash is another mans
{in this case womans"}treasure!
Was so true this day!

We had a scrap yard in my old town and I MISS IT!!! I need to find one soon. Some of my best pieces found me at a scrap yard:)

I always wonder, with all the talk of recycling and conservation, why the landfills don't have a warehouse for us junkpickers to "shop" and rescue all the good stuff that gets thrown away. I bet we would find some real treasures!
Next time--you go with me! And I'll wear the hiking boots and gloves and we will load up the back of my SUV, hear?!
When we're through, we'll go get ice cream.
Blessings to you as you make your home...
I will be doing more posts on staging, so stay tuned, and you will learn more of what to do in other spaces...
Hugs to you!

Oh jeez, what IS it with men, they just don't get it sometimes! I love everything you pointed out and I saw what looks like some rusty old fencing in the first picture I want too! I could see that 2nd chair with some cute oilcloth cushions! I wanna go with you!!

LOL Dolly, this is EXACTLY what happens when I go to our county landfill, too! It's to the point I have to go by myself, my husband says "no" to every good thing I see in the "pile"! (Once I did sneak home an old metal lawn chair---I was BRAVE that day!) I love this post of your's, it's so me, too! I know you must be very busy with the new-old house, how fun! But don't work too hard!
Hugs, Heidi
