My gypsy blood

We are on the move again!
I swear I have gypsy blood!
You see I can't stay in one house for too long!
Thankfuly I am married to a wonderful man who puts up with my whims.

Let the packing and sorting begin..... {again}

{here she is}

** TA - DA **
I am excited, not about packing and lifting and moving
and all that not so fun stuff
but I am excited to have the opportunity to live
in an 1800s victorian queen anne !

My dream come true!
She needs some TLC and lots of elbow grease to make her shine again but I am up for the job!
And I will take you all with us as we renovate this beauty!

She needs a name..... don't you agree every home needs a name?
Any suggestions?

Love all the gingerbread trim and architectural details

Beautiful hardwood floors and 2 arched bay windows in the parlors
{the ceiling fan will be replaced with a vintage chandelier}

The fireplace is beautiful...
this picture does not show the detail and elegance of it all!

{that vintage light is amazing}

I think this might be my favorite room....
imagine soaking in that wonderful tub,
candles, champagne and a good book!
Ahhhhhhh.........
Now thats what I'm talking about!

The back porch even has a swing and potting/gardening cabinet!

as you may have guessed life is alil bit......
NO a lot bit hectic right now!

We have 2 houses, we are trying to empty the old one out
to get it ready to list
and freshen up the new one before we move in!

Plus the 15th - the 18th we are having a big ole bash
that can not be canceled......it was planned a year ago!

So I have a weekend long farewell party
{with over 75 people coming here to camp out}
to get ready for!

I have been missing you all......
I hope your summer has been fun so far!
I will post when I can and visit when possible!
When we get settled you are all invited over for tea and cupcakes! :-)

Take care
and
may God Bless you always!

HI Dolly,
I love your new home! A Queen Ann would be exciting to restore! You are so funny and we think alike. My husband and I always refer to our-self's as gypsy's too! We have owned 12 homes and have rented I believe we have moved a total of 19 times during almost 35 years of being married. I know its really crazy. I can't wait to see all the wonderful and creative things you do with your new Queen Ann!
I just finished emptying boxes from the current move. I should mail them to you LOL..
Have a wonderful week! hugs, Elizabeth

Congratulations on your beautiful new home Dolly!
Thank you for visiting my blog. Some glass garden art will definitely go with that lovely victorian.
I added a tutorial catagory to my blog so you can find my plate flower tute from last November.
To make a totem is the same concept, but since you are in Michigan, be sure not to place plates or bowls so they hold water in a way that they will break when frozen - unless you want to bring things in every winter, which I certainly do not!
Have fun and let me know if you make any.
Kathy

WOW...this is just stunning....so vintage and so wonderful! I don't know why but "Amelia's Cottage" popped into my head.....Strange....perhaps an old owner?????? :):)

Wowza!! I dream of living in an olden home like that and having my boys help fix it up (you know...keep them out of trouble in the teenage years).

Girl...I've been in the same suburban cottage home for almost 17 years!! No gypsy blood here. lol
But...major olden blood for vintage things.

I am not sure how I found you but glad I did. You are living a life long dream of mine, to own and restore one of these fine ole homes
While looking at the picture of the front of the house I heard,
Harmony House, she is to much of a fine lady to be a "cottage". I will be back to see your progress.
BE BLESSED

Dolly- Ok friend when are we going to see pictures of that wonderful home of yours???

I was thinking of the adorable Boo Banner of yours and of course those polka dot pumpkins!! I haven't been able to get any fall decorating done yet.

We have been so busy trying to get the food and clothing pantry we are starting going. That and then every spare moment is used for all the canning I have been doing. With Colorado's short season everything seems to get ready at the same time!! I was canning plum, peaches, apples, making all kinds of jams and such. Think I am at the end of it with canning apple pie in a jar and applesauce this weekend!

Have a blogging friend coming to my house Friday and she has never been down here so am hoping I can get your sweet goodies out!

bee blessed
