Don't get me started

This picture makes me smile!
After the week I have had I need more smiles!!!
:-) These 3 are always into mischief :-)

I have been really wanting to post more often...and I did do good a week ago but this week is another story! Our daughter and her family ~whom have been staying with us since february
are moving into their new home this week
{they decided to rent for a year before they build or buy to make sure they like country living}
It is or will be a cute home once we get past the dirt n filth!
I am just so amazed at how some people live....
We have been scrapeing and scrubbing for a week now and are not near being finished!
The windows look like they have not been cleaned in years...
cobwebs in every corner,
the stove and fridge have not been cleaned behind in ages,
the floor tiles are black....
the sink was rusty brown...
I scrubbed so much I think I scrubbed the finish off of it because now it is white!
Hubby says it does'nt surprise him how dirty and distroyed the house is "because it is a rental!"
GRRRR...... I want to scream
Ok people I don't care who you are..
what or where you came from
there is no excuse for living like a pig!
It does not take money to keep your house clean!
SOAP AND WATER IS FREE!!!!!!
It does'nt matter that you do not own this house..
it is your home, where you live, and raise your children....
It is a reflection of who you are!
I hate when people say "it is just a rental".... bah humbug!
It is the place that you call home...
love and respect it and it will show!
I have rented in my younger days and have always treated the house as if it were my own....
I painted, wallpapered, installed carpet and planted flowers, kept the windows cleaned and the lawn perfect!
There is just no excuse for the mess we are haveing to clean up!
I am sorry for going off like this....
This really ticks me off!

Lets move onto better things...
hubby took this picture of our precious grandbaby and our 2 furbabies
this afternoon.
Miss Emma and her companions are always into something!
Notice the screen door is ajar... like they are all trying to escape!
Maybe trying to get away from a crabby gramma! :-)

I want to thank Heather for the pretty package I received today!
Oh la la girl you have my mind whirling with ideas!
Thank Debbie for the beautiful tea cup filled with roses!
Thank you to Kathy for the sweet petite rose tea cup and yummy tea!
And lastly a big thank you to Suzy for the awesome halloween swap goodies!
{pictures coming soon}
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Hugz, Dolly

I too have been shocked at how people live. When my mother was looking for houses here in MI we saw some real doozies. There was one house that went saw that we actually came out worried that we caught something - awful i tell you. Your daughter must really appreciate all of your help. Hope you have a good weekend and you see the light at the end of the cleaning tunnel.

Hi Dolly! what an absolutly precious picture!!! That should be on a card!

How terrible how much you have been cleaning... my husband and I were just talking about this as his brother is having terrible problems with his tenants not taking care of his place. What is wrong with some people??? lol It is ok to vent to us!!!

So glad you liked your package! I tried very hard not to include any BLUE... hehe but I think there might be a blue flower in there on one of the wallpapers! When I was putting it in the bag I said "oh how oh how can that Dolly not like blue!" hehe!!

love Heather

Dolly,
I guess there are 2 mind-sets when it comes to renting. Either you trash it because it's not yours. Or you take extra care BECAUSE it's not yours. I always fell into the 2nd category as you do. My home is a reflection of me. While it may not be sterile, it is clean. Some people have no respect for other people or their property.

The picture is adorable!

Love,
Julie

Dolly, you are so right about what you said about rentals and it still being your home! My dad used to appraise houses and I was his office manager and sometimes would go with him. You would not believe the things we would see! And these people owned the houses!! But Dolly, with your magic touch, it will be beautiful in the end!!

I cant believe how big Miss Emma is getting!!!! Oh is she ever cute! And the kitties too :) Here is to a better week for you all!

Hugs,
Amy

Most adorable picture of your grandbaby!!

I agree, I don't know how people live like that in filth. Personally, I think that is just how they live. Whether they rent or own. I don't care if I rented or owned it, I could not live in that kind of filth. Some people just don't have pride in ownership - maybe they never worked hard for anything and either don't own anything or were given everything they do own so they don't value working for it. Don't know, don't understand.

Hello Dolly....now you say, "Bye, Bye, Bertie" and we have two wonderful Broadway hits named after us!

Love, love, love that photo of Miss Emma and the kitties. So precious, makes me wish I were there to see it in person.

You are such a good mom to help with all the yucky stuff. Is this where Miss Emma will be staying? We sure wouldn't want our baby in that mess.

Miss you at PRH.
