I am not ready for fall and then winter
but I guess mother nature says ~~ready or not here they come!
Above is one of my favorite fall-ish pictures!
Our baby girl amongst the sunflowers!
She loves sunflowers,
One day she & friends were out for a drive and they spyed this huge field of sunflowers.
They spent a few hours just taking pictures and running thru the field!
I love this picture of her!
I have been loafing around with an ear ache since friday
and now swollen tonsils!
My friend suggested one of his home remedies for an earache!
I tried it and it worked for me!
You put a lil bit of pepper in a cotton ball...roll it up and stuff it in your ear!
I kept it in over night and this morning my ear feels much better!
Now what to do for swollen tonsils?
Any home remedies??????

Dolly, for the swollen tonsils, gargle with peroxide mixed with a little water. Kills the infection. Got this tip from my sister-in-law who came from a family of 8 kids. Someone always was coming down with a sore throat in her family. I was pleasantly surprised. . . it works!!!
About that pepper, is is just plain table black pepper? Thanks.
Blessings! (and feel better)
I am going to try the peroxide gargle right now!
Thanks for the suggestion!
Yep its table black pepper in alil piece of cotton ball!

Dolly, I am so sorry you arent feeling well. I hope the peroxide works! A lot of girls at PRH have been sick with sore throats this week. Oh it is starting early this year!
You are in my thoughts and prayers,
Amy
Oooh poor Miss Dolly :(
I dont have any remedies for a sore throat....maybe more cherry candy or chocolate will help??? LOL. Hope you are feeling better soon chickadee.
Big Hugs comin' your way,
Shann xo
P.S AWESOME shot of your girl! Running through a field of sunflowers....sounds like something gorgeous from a movie :)
Hope you're feeling better. If the peroxide doesn't work - try a hot toddy. It might not work either but you'll certainly feel better.
Love,
Julie
I have never heard that earache remedy, I'll definately have to remember that. Thanks!
Dolly ~ I hope you are feeling better. For a sore throat, try using Throat Coat. It is a herbal tea that works wonders for throat pain. You can get it in the Natural Foods section at the supermarket.
Take it EZ,
Becky
Hi Dolly,
Gargle with warm salt water. Eat chicken soup.
Hope you feel better soon.

No home remedies, but I do hope you feel better soon Dolly!
Hi Dolly, please email me...email is on my blog under "about" you have won the bee teaspoons.
For earache my little mother always warmed some olive oil and put a drop or two in then cotton ball. It really would soothe them!
Sorry can't help with the tonsils...I hope the "feel goods" find their way there soon...
(( ))
Dolly, I've always read that apple cider vinegar works for the throat. Mix a Tablespoon with a glass of water and gargle. It's supposed to kill the infection. Hope you feel better.

Dolly, So sorry you are under the weather. (insert sad face here)The peroxide always works for me. Don't forget to rinse your toothbrush in it, too, and brush your tongue with it. Keep rinsing your toothbrush in the peroxide until you no longer have a sore throat. My grandma taught me that and she was ALWAYS right.
Hope you feel better soon!
