Gone in a flash

Where did last week go?
Boy I missed a few..... ok more like 5 days last week...
they came and went before I knew it!
I have to tell you, I was a busy lil bee!
So much to do... so far behind....
There never seems to be enough time in a day lately!
What did I do you ask....
Hmmm where to start......

The rain stopped for awhile on saturday

so I got the tractor out and got the lawn cut...

I had not cut it in months...

it was basically dead from no rain!

We have 10 acres of grass so that was an all day job!

I had so many peaches... they were comin out my ears...

With all those peaches I made Peach butter.. oh no not just any Peach Butter,

this was Amaretto Peach butter!

Peach butter with a twist of sweet cherry!

I also made a peach cobbler... sorry no pictures we gobbled that up real quick!

Today I think I will make a peach pie!

I also got some swap stuff finished and mailed out!

Maria said she was into mermaids and fairies so I created one of each for her!
These were very fun to make!

This is the Tussie Mussie I made for Jeanne.
I had so much fun with this swap!
Jeanne and I have the same tastes so it was easy to create for her!
The cone is made from analglypta wallpaper that I painted PINK and trimmed in vintage lace, crepe paper, buttons, silk ribbon, vintage rick rack and the sweetetst lil girl with a floppy bonnet on! I have been making these cute lil dress cards for awhile now
so I knew I had to make some for Ele for our Christmas card & Tags swap!
These are sooo darn cute... if I say so myself! ;-)

I hope Ele likes them too!
Nope these are not your traditional christmas tags...
these were created just for Ele!
She loves vintage ~shabby~ beachy~ chic...
no red and white jolly old cartoony santa here!
Don't you love them!

I still have to finish up and take pictures of the vintage kitchen goodies I made for Mica and the cotton n candy goodies I made for Shannon!

Oh and a sweet friend of mine is haveing a birthday so I made her alil something to make her smile... I will share those with you soon!

Soups on... Comeon over

Brrr.... It's cold and rainy here again today!

I am not complaining though...

the rain is a blessing!

It's been so dry here

What's the best way to chase away the rainy day blues?

A big pot of soup simmering on the stove!
I had zucchini and summer squash begging to be used
so I whipped up a pot of zucchini soup!

Juicy tomatoes, sweet corn, zucchini, yellow squash, and onions.
5 Simple ingrediants, topped with velvetta cheese!
Sooooo Yummy...
can you smell it?

The surgury went well.

We will know exactly how well in a few weeks!

Prayers are still needed for a speedy recovery!

We are back home and he is resting peacefully!

I truely apreciate all of you for taking the time to write and to pray for us!

I am so blessed to have such wonderful people around me each day!

Many hands make lite work...

Yesterday my girlfriends and I got together to can sweet corn!

We shucked and shucked till we could'nt shuck any more!

Here's a batch ready to be put in the jars....

Dora and Ida are hard at work filling jars......

Yes we even put the guys to work...

Dave and hubby emptied the pressure cookers while Kay supervised!

All total we canned 120 pints of corn and 20 pints of dill pickels!

It was a very productive day!

I am outta here for a day or two...

Hubby is haveing surgury tomorrow!
