I am a "PINK ARTIST" and proud of it

Dear sweet friends.

I am very excited to share this with you all!
I have joined the "PINK ARTISTS FOR A CURE"
and I hope that you will all find it in your heart to join in too!
It's a simple request for a wonderful cause!

"THE PINK ARTISTS"

is a community of artists joining together
to create one joint art doll to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

When doll is complete, it will be mailed in to Art Doll Quarterly™
before finally being auctioned off on eBay at a later date.
ALL PROCEEDS WILL DIRECTLY BENEFIT CHARITY.

No you don't have to make a doll.....

You create......
one 2x2 inch square with a cloth base using your chosen medium
in ANY way you feel inspired to do so for this project!

(ideas, but definitely not limitations might include... name of loved one,
motivational word, favorite quote, theme of LOVE, HEART, DANCE, BREASTS,
a face, an eye, a hand, a pose, a script that dances from your fingertips, a beaded symbol,
a thread embellished design, a photo, a digitally enhanced image, poetry you wrote or
a portion of a poem you LOVe, scripture, felted object (wing, heart), thick layer of
paint with rubber stamping, rusted object, a clay face...
let the THEME of LOVE inspire you). Sometimes just looking around your studio
or work space will INSPIRE you! See something sitting on your desk that you've been
wanting to use but didn't know what to do with???

I was blog hopping and came upon this and thought she had been reading my diary!

Hubby and I practice random acts of kindness often!
Our favorite is to pay someones tab at a restaurant and not let them know who did it! Or I love to pay for the person behind me in the drive thru line.

I admire Deena for her strength and courage!

Diane at Petticoat Junction has been going thru some hard times lately!

Just yesterday her daughter Andrea was in a fire!
Her body was burned and cut and she has vertebra damage which required surgury this morning!

Please, lets all keep these girls in our prayers!
We all know there is power in prayer!

Lord please watch over our friends,
wrap them in your loving arms!
Comfort them thru these difficult times!

I Heart Hearts

Hello Hello,
hows everyone doing with their swap goodies?
I hope you are chatting and becoming friends with your partners!
I can't wait to see what everyone is giving and receiving!

I am feeling better then I have in weeks, but not 100% better!
From what everyone says this years flu is the worse flu virus we have had in awhile,
and it hangs on for a long time!
Weeks, even a month!

Oyyyyyy.... Let me tell you I am sure glad I am heading towards the end of it!
I have not been this sick in years and it really drained me!
I have had no energy and just want to sleep sleep sleep!

Now I am tired of being in bed, tired of not being able to do anything!
And you are tired of hearing me whine!

So onto the gooooooooood stuff!

This week I received presents.... lots of pretty presents!

Let me show you!

Natalea {kandeland} was one of my partners for My Vintage Heart Swap.....
Her package arrived this week!!!

I opened the box and there was this beeeeutiful pink satin covered heart shaped box studded with pearls!

Ohhhhh sooooooo pretty!

I sat on the bed just stareing at this beeeeautiful box! I felt like Cinderella!
Inside she had it filled, I mean filled with all kinds of hearts,

pink hearts, red hearts, white hearts, heart candies, glittered hearts, heart ornies, heart potholder, heart charm, heart brooch, heart doilies, ETC....

I love hearts...
so you can imagine how wonderful it was to sit there with all these pretty hearts!

And if that was'nt enough, there at the bottom of the box was this pretty, ornate,
HEART shaped plate,
in the softest shade of cotton candy pink!
Perfect to hang in our bedroom!

Natalea thank you with all my heart for your thoughtfullness and generosity!

It was so much fun meeting you and haveing you as a partner!

I think I am on the mend

Where have I been?

Well remember the other day {last post...wednesday} I said I was feelin yucky....

and hubby was sick?

Whatever it was hit me like a ton of bricks, sore throat, headache, ear aches, sore all over!

Whatever this bug is the whole town has it, there is a 4 day wait to get into any dr or clinic!

We spent three days in bed... got up to have a cup of tea and check the answering machine for emergencies and check my email for emergencies and back to bed we went!

UGH... I am sick of being sick, I am sick of being in bed, I am sick of sleeping the days away!

I wanna be ME again!

I wanna feel goooood again.... I want to be able to eat something solid!

REAL FOOD!!!!

Today I am going to STOP WHINNING and try to stay up all day and see what I can accomplish!

Hubby has been sick in bed, I told him to keep his germs to himself...

BUT I think he breathed on me because I am feeling yucky today!

I won a prizzer on her blog!

Oh my gosh.... this had to be fate....

Becky created this wonderful, I mean beautiful -wonderful calender for 2008, and I secretly wanted to win... really really wanted to win this calender from her give away!

I forgot all about entering, with all the swap stuff going on it slipped my mind!

Ok Ok I am old and can't remember shtuff! There I said it! lol

Anyways.... I won.... I won Beckys awesomely awesome calender!

PLUS.... if thats not a big enough prizzer....

She made me sound so nice.... little does she know... really I am a mean ole witch..

7 random and/or weird facts about Me.....

1. I don't read the newspaper because I don't like the feel of it! It drives me nuts to even have a newspaper in the house! When hubby is done reading it I ask him to throw it in the trash right away!

2. I don't drink coffee... I wish I did because I love the smell of coffee and all those wonderful flavors are so tempting! I am an avid tea drinker! 7-10 cups a day!

3. I had the opportunity to go to college for interior design but chose to stay home and devote my time to our children! No regrets!!!!

4. I am addicted to ice chips... ever since I had tonsilitus I have been sucking on ice chips, I know.. not good for my teeth!

5. I have a hard time making decisions! I usually ask hubby which he likes then go with the opposit of whatever he chooses! Not on purpose it just happens that way!

6. I don't wear make up or use deoderant! Peeeuuuuu...I use crystals as deoderant! I try not to put anything on my body that I would'nt put in my body!

7. I love quietness.... the noise from a tv and radio drive me bonkers, I love to get up before eveyone else so I can enjoy the peacefulness of a quiet house!
