Made with lots of LOVE

I was talking with Lallee @ Lallees Cottage about her beautiful crochet items.
I love to crochet

I am working on a few scarfs right now!
{in all my spare time}
I wanted to show you all this....
I think this is the last big crochet project I did.

Hubbys' Gramma Hilda was suffering with lung cancer and was always cold so I told her I'd make her something to keep her warm

I crochet this afghan with lots of love.

Can you read it?
{Sorry for the bad pictures... its late and the inside lighting is bad!
}
I have done a few for weddings and babies,
what I really want to do is make one for each of our children and grandchildren!

The above scarf is just a taste of whats in Lallees shop!
Don't you love it?
I love it!!!!!
Go visit her and take peek at her yarn creations!
She is amazing!
Do you crochet?
Whats your latest project?
Warm Hugz,
Dolly

Dolly, your afghan is amazing!!!! What a beautiful work of love. Your grandmother must have felt so loved at a difficult time.

Thank you so much for the mention. You are a dear! As I have thought about the scarf and stitch, I am now thinking it was HDC stitch that I used, and a large needle for a more open weave (still using the front/back post). You'd think I'd remember since I made the red one just recently. LOL Holiday pressure has gotten to my my brain ;-)

Hugs,
Lallee

~~ Thank you ladies ~~
I don't do many of these afghans since they are so time consuming!

Gwendolyn, The stitch I used for the lettering is a popcorn stitch....but the whole thing is designed on graph paper first!

Gramma has since gone to heaven... I put the blanket away for awhile but bought it out for us to use to keep warm and cuddley! I know she'd want it that way!

That is amazing Dolly! I have never seen anything like that, I can't imagine how hard it is to write perfect letters as you crochet. As for Lallees work, it is always beautiful:>)

Wow! that afghan is amazing. I learned to crochet when I was 7 but I'm afraid I don't remember -- learned to knit that same summer, and that's the skill that stayed with me.

Gorgeous ... and the scarf is darling, very chic!
