Come out Come out where ever you are!

I am so sorry friends!
I didn't mean to worry yous!
One of my dear sweet bloggy friends sent an email saying she was going to send a search and rescue team out to find me!
She said she was worried that I had been missing for too long!
I am so sorry!
Thank you for all the emails and comments of concern!
Yep I am here and still alive!
Life has been super duper crazy here at our cherry cottage.
I will try to give you a quick run down of whats been going on here.....
:-)

Remember my oldest daughter Chrissy was diagnosed with MRSA {a few posts back}
Well her son and fiance' got it too!
They are on the road to recovery!
Praise God.

We went downstate to visit our families and to celebrate september birthdays!
Since we live so far away from everyone we get together and celebrate all the birthdays in that month together!
It is one huge party.
We got to see our newest princess and other 2 grandbabies!
Kids grow so fast don't they!
Miss Coral is in preschool and loves it!
Lil Guy misses her.... Madison is 3 months old and growing like a weed!

I started a new flower bed... I envisioned an oval island flower bed a ways away from the porch!
I was doing good, almost done and decided I didn't like it so I got the tractor out and started digging a whole new bed... cut the phone line with the tractor and had no phone service for 4 days!
Had to call Miss Dig so they could come out and mark where the under ground wireing was so I didn't hit the electrical wires!
I lined that bed with rocks and added plants and am in the process of dividing plants I have in other beds to fill in the new bed!
Plus trying to cut back all the spent flowers for winter!

We painted our guest cottage!
I first painted it a purplish color and didn't like it so we repainted it to match the house colors so it would blend in and not stick out lil a big purple elephant!
I still have to make curtains {lace of course} for the windows and touch up the trim around the windows and doors!
Next summer we will add ginger bread trim and a patio to the front and cobble stone the foundation!
I am just glad to get it painted at this point!
It looks 100% better!
I canned 126 pints of sweet corn, plus green beans, pickled veggies, peaches,
I still have tomatoes, salsa, spaghetti sauce and apple sauce to do!

Ok you get the idea!
Life has been busy and crazy I tell you.
My google reader is way past 700 blogs that I need to catch up on.
My Etsy boutique has been neglected. {bad me}
Oyyyyy.... will I ever get done?

I do miss you all.
You add sunshine to my days!

I hope all is well with each and every one of yous!
I will be back soon... promise!

Tick Tock Tick Tock

When you are waiting to hear some news...
Good or Bad!
Times passes so slowly...
Minutes seem to feel like hours!
Our daughter Chrissy, went to the doctor...
I waited by the phone... doodeling, checking the clock, waiting and waiting...
wondering why I didn't go with her!
FINALLY....
The phone rings....
Chrissy.... "GOOD NEWS MUM" "doc says I am doing good, the meds are working , my boils are drying up and the new ones are hard and going away"
Me..... big sigh!
"Thank you God"
"whats next?"

"I am staying on the meds for 2 more weeks just to be sure my body is clear!

I am so greatful to all of you for your prayers, good thoughts, emails and well wishes for a speedy recovery for our daughter!
You are all angels!
What would I do without you?
We all know there is power in prayer and your prayers have helped us through this difficult time!
With this I thank you with all my heart!

Big Hugz to each and everyone of you from all of us!

Roses and Roller Coasters

Big Hugzzzz and Thank yous to all who have popped over to check on me!
I miss yous too!
I am sorry it has been so long between posts!

My life has been an emotional roller coaster lately!
Oyyy.......
I need a vacation.... just to escape life for awhile!
Calgon... TAKE ME AWAY!!! {do you remember that commercial?}

On a more serious note... I am asking a favor from all of you dear sweet angels! Please keep my daughter Chrissy {momma to Miss Emma and Ty}
in your prayers!
She was just diagnosed with MRSA.

The doctor has her on antibiotics and some sorta cream!
I don't know all the details as she was too upset to ask questions before she left his office!

She said basically if the antibiotics do not work she will have to be hospitalized! This is all new to me... I know nothing about MRSA,
I need to do some research and ask lots of questions!

If any of yous know anything or have any advice it will be greatly appreciated!
I am trying to keep a happy face on and a positive attitude
but honestly I am very worried!

** Prayers are needed here girls **

I want to show you this beautiful rose wreath
I won from Miss LeAnn at
For the love of cottage!

I hung it in the princess suite!
I think it looks perfect in there! {don't you?}

Honey.... Come quick

This afternoon I am sitting here enjoying some "ME" time and the phone rings!
{not a telemarketer this time} It's hubby...
"Hi babe I am down at Kim and Butchs' house"...... pause.... "you need to get down here right away"
Me... "whats wrong?"
Hubby.... "they are having a sale and you need to come quick"
So I jump on the dune buggy and hit the gas.....
Whoooohooooo
Looky what I brought home with me......

A Claire Murray kitty throw {new with tag}
Sorry the picture is washed out.... I hung it on the line to get a quick picture and the sun is so bright! The colors are really vibrant and pretty!
Think I will throw this over the wicker love seat on the porch!
And put it in the guest cottage in the winter!
How much????? a whopping $3.
Ouuu I love this victorian ladies in the garden plate.....
perfect for our front room!

Are you ready for this?
This set of cherub sconces cost 50 cents!!!!
I am so freakin excited!
I am going to paint them to bring out the detail!
Not sure if I will hang them in our bedroom or the front room!
{What a steal... they are metal with glass globes}
Here is a close up so you can see how sweet they are!
Great deal huh!
One scoop or two????
I had to buy this cherry cute purse.....
{25 cents}
I think I will keep all the barbie shoes and lil accessories in it for the girls!
I also bought a few books, a statue, a silver bowl, suitcase, albums and some other goodies!

I am so glad hubby called me....
I trained him well!
{te-hee}

Until next time,

Cute Stuff

I have some cute stuff to share with you!
My trusty assistant is here to help... well supervise maybe!
{she is my shadow.. mommas kitty girl}
Say Hi to the girls kitten! :-)

We have had our 4 year old grand daughter here with us for the past week!
We went to the river to play in the water, build sand castles, played in the pool, had many tea parties, dressed and undressed the barbies more times then I can remember, swang on the tire swing, went for rides on Poppys' tractor, took pictures, went for walks looking for deer, ate ice cream at the corner house ice cream parlor and so much more!
Now that she has gone back home, I can get my groove back!
Get some "ME" time again.

While downstate meeting our newest grand princess I popped into my favorite Salvation Army store
{boy are the prices getting out of hand there.. Has anyone else noticed that or is it just that one}
I did manage to find a few inexpensive goodies to turn into treasures!
Love those tall ice cream glasses oh and the scio hazel dish....
{those I am adding to my collection}

Take a look at these cuties!
Daughter and hubby are ice cream fanatics!
They loooooooooove ice cream!

{me I could take it or leave it}
When I saw these cute lil Ben & Jerrys I knew they'd flip!
Aren't they too cute?
There is a lil spoon in the top of the lid too!
I love cuppy cakes......
This way too cute placemat came all the way from Australia......
Made by Karen {my cup cake swap partner}
Thank you Karen this is awesome
{Karen hurry and start a blog, you are an awesome seamstress}

Can we say CUUUUUUUTE???
I am so excited to tell you about this new shop!
Jannets Country Cottage
Jannet crochets these cute cuppy cakes, fun strawberries and more!
Thank you so much Jannet....these are so sweet,
Ladies go visit Jannets shop...tell her that Dolly sent you!

Don't you love when there is a surprise package in your mailbox?
I received this vintage cherry towel in the mail from Barbara at 123 Lavender Lollipop Lane
Barbara saw it while shopping and thought of me!
How sweet is that!
Thank you with all my heart Barbara... you are such a sweety!
{the cute towel next to it was sent to me from Michelle at Yapping Cat}

Until next time,
Hugz,
Dolly

GirlFriends

When I was little, I used to believe in the concept of one best friend,
And then I started to become a woman.
And I found out that if you allow your heart to open up,
God would show you the best in many friends.

One friend is needed when you're going through things with your man.
Another friend is needed when you're going through things with your mom.
Another will sit beside you in the bleachers as you delight in your children and their activities.
Another when you want to shop, share, heal, hurt, joke, or just be you.
One friend will say, 'Let's cry together,'
Another , 'Let's fight together,'
Another , 'Let's walk away together.'

One friend will meet your spiritual needs, Another your magazine fetish, Another your love for cherries, Another will be with you in your season of confusion, Another will be your clarifier, Another the wind beneath your wings.

But whatever their assignment in your life, On whatever the occasion, On whatever the day, Or whenever you need them to meet you with their gym shoes on and hair pulled back, Or to hold you back from making a complete fool of yourself .. Those are your best friends.

It may all be wrapped up in one woman, But for many, it's wrapped up in several.. One from 7th grade, One from high school, Several from the college years, a couple from old jobs, On some days your mother, On some days your neighbor, On others, your sisters, And on some days, your daughters.

So whether they've been your friend for 20 minutes or 20 years,
Know that God has placed them in your life

To make a difference.

Thank you all for being here with me... sharing your lives, homes and families!
And thank you for making a difference in MY life!

Have a blessed day!
Hugz,
P.S. I know it's been forever since my last post!
Thank you for all the emails.... of concern and wondering where I am!
My life has been total chaos lately...
here it is in a nutshell...
We had storms and tornados...
Hubby had surgury, {all is well}
Our 4th grandbaby was born!
{we are going to meet Little Miss Madison Rae tomorrow}
Birthday parties, & graduations.
My 2 kitty girls had to get spayed
{ I wonder if it was as tramatic for them as it was for me}
We planned a big flea market for the 4th...
A LOT goes into getting that ready!
My mum called and said she was coming up to stay
{that means I clean the house from top to bottom, wash walls, windows, floors everything comes off the walls and out of every cabinet to be washed}
We spent 3 full days at the market...
Entertained mum.
Made 16 quarts of strawberry jam!
Oh theres lots more but you can see why I have not had time to even think about posting!
I do have alot to share with you....
* * Good stuff * *
Pictures of our new princess coming soon!
Please for give me if you are waiting on swap goodies....
I promise that is on the top of my list,
now that things look like they might be settling down a bit!

Cottage Garden Tour

You are invited to our Cottage

Come on up the road
Keep comin

Almost there

Yellow Peony tree
Pink Peony
Our side porch and court yard
{summer of 2007}
I have pretty plates planted in my garden
Burgundy wine monarda... a wonderful treat for the bees
This shabby flamingo lives under the hydrangea bush
{one of the many statues that grace our gardens}
A precious cherub sits at the top of the waterfall, getting her feet wet to stay cool!
Love the contrast of the siberian iris and the orange crepe paper like poppys!
Do you hear the sound of water trickling down the waterfall?

This is our pond before
{my mothers day gift from my sweet hubby Mr. Cherry Heart}

The waterfall creates such a soothing sound!
We enjoy it inside the house and outside when on the porch and working in the yard!
The pond and waterfall are not finished but coming along slowly!
Mmmm..... Pink peonies are one of my favorite flowers!

The inside of a poppy looks like velvet!
My poppys did very well this year!
I have'nt bored you yet!
Ok keep walking there is more to see!
Jumping jacks {viola}
jump about the flower beds planting themselves wherever they desire!
Lilacs.... an old fashion favorite
Cottage hollyhocks remind me of my grammas' garden!
Do you see what I see?
This is a head board from an old iron bed!
I planted it in the flowerbed to pose as a gate!
{a fake gate}
I am looking for 2 birdies to perch on the knobs and a sign to hang on the center of the heart!

Hubbys aunt gave me this cute lil rocker!
She knows I am a chair lover {hoarder}
Our courtyard and porch in 2006
Notice the pillars are one color, no pond and all the plants are so small!
This was our 2nd summer in our new home!!
I love using mirrors in the garden!
Do you use mirrors in your flower beds?
The fairies love it!
Frances William hosta!

Purple cone flower {echinechea}
My first rose of 2008
The east side of our courtyard!

My latest and most favorite flea market find!
