What a FUN SHINEY Day

Pretty Pink Princess Deena was one of my partners for my Vintage Heart Swap!

Her package arrived yesterday!

Oh yes this girl was doing the happy dance!

This precious minty green baby dress, {I collect baby dress'}, a vintage 1900s valentine postcard, 2 flower plates & votives, victorian vintage sticker books, 2 super cute boxs, {she made}, a bird nest pin, hanging heart tags, toe rings {I wear them all summer as I am a barefoot kinda gal}, note cards, 2 rolls of wallpaper, chocolates {hubby put claims on them right away} and my very favorite bath and body works warm vanilla lotion and bath wash,

{I love anything bath and body works}

AND.... this just took my breath away... take a look at this super sweet lil bisque dolly

{ a dollie for Dolly}!! She is so darn cute!!

1. What was your first swap?
Oyyy I have done so many... I think my first swap was a dots and spots swap from swap bot!

2. What has been your favorite swap and why?

Gosh its hard to pick one favorite.... besides my vintage heart swap {because I love hearts and valentines day} I'd say the garden swap {I love to garden... rosepetitemaison was my partner and she sent me so many wonderful garden related treasures} Plus the Crowns and Tiaras swap was a fav too! I could go on and on!

3. What has been your least favorite swap and why?

I think my least favorite was the Ga-ga for garland swap {my partner and I have opposit taste and I am not sure she liked what I made for her! It was such a nerve wracking challenge}

4.What have you tried for the first time as a part of a swap?

Itty Bittys! They were so fun!
In fact I joined the itty bitty robins egg blue swap because I enjoyed it so much!!

5. What would your fantasy swap be?

Johnny Depp ... oops That's a fantasy date!!! {tehee}

This is a tough one. Hmmm... I would love to do a vintage prom dress swap!

I Heart Hearts

Hello Hello,
hows everyone doing with their swap goodies?
I hope you are chatting and becoming friends with your partners!
I can't wait to see what everyone is giving and receiving!

I am feeling better then I have in weeks, but not 100% better!
From what everyone says this years flu is the worse flu virus we have had in awhile,
and it hangs on for a long time!
Weeks, even a month!

Oyyyyyy.... Let me tell you I am sure glad I am heading towards the end of it!
I have not been this sick in years and it really drained me!
I have had no energy and just want to sleep sleep sleep!

Now I am tired of being in bed, tired of not being able to do anything!
And you are tired of hearing me whine!

So onto the gooooooooood stuff!

This week I received presents.... lots of pretty presents!

Let me show you!

Natalea {kandeland} was one of my partners for My Vintage Heart Swap.....
Her package arrived this week!!!

I opened the box and there was this beeeeutiful pink satin covered heart shaped box studded with pearls!

Ohhhhh sooooooo pretty!

I sat on the bed just stareing at this beeeeautiful box! I felt like Cinderella!
Inside she had it filled, I mean filled with all kinds of hearts,

pink hearts, red hearts, white hearts, heart candies, glittered hearts, heart ornies, heart potholder, heart charm, heart brooch, heart doilies, ETC....

I love hearts...
so you can imagine how wonderful it was to sit there with all these pretty hearts!

And if that was'nt enough, there at the bottom of the box was this pretty, ornate,
HEART shaped plate,
in the softest shade of cotton candy pink!
Perfect to hang in our bedroom!

I think I am on the mend

Where have I been?

Well remember the other day {last post...wednesday} I said I was feelin yucky....

and hubby was sick?

Whatever it was hit me like a ton of bricks, sore throat, headache, ear aches, sore all over!

Whatever this bug is the whole town has it, there is a 4 day wait to get into any dr or clinic!

We spent three days in bed... got up to have a cup of tea and check the answering machine for emergencies and check my email for emergencies and back to bed we went!

UGH... I am sick of being sick, I am sick of being in bed, I am sick of sleeping the days away!

I wanna be ME again!

I wanna feel goooood again.... I want to be able to eat something solid!

REAL FOOD!!!!

Today I am going to STOP WHINNING and try to stay up all day and see what I can accomplish!

1. I don't read the newspaper because I don't like the feel of it! It drives me nuts to even have a newspaper in the house! When hubby is done reading it I ask him to throw it in the trash right away!

2. I don't drink coffee... I wish I did because I love the smell of coffee and all those wonderful flavors are so tempting! I am an avid tea drinker! 7-10 cups a day!

3. I had the opportunity to go to college for interior design but chose to stay home and devote my time to our children! No regrets!!!!

4. I am addicted to ice chips... ever since I had tonsilitus I have been sucking on ice chips, I know.. not good for my teeth!

5. I have a hard time making decisions! I usually ask hubby which he likes then go with the opposit of whatever he chooses! Not on purpose it just happens that way!

6. I don't wear make up or use deoderant! Peeeuuuuu...I use crystals as deoderant! I try not to put anything on my body that I would'nt put in my body!

7. I love quietness.... the noise from a tv and radio drive me bonkers, I love to get up before eveyone else so I can enjoy the peacefulness of a quiet house!

New Year Greetings

I want to take this opportunity to Thank you all....

Blogging has changed my life.... in so many ways!!

I have met some many wonderful gals here and I treausre each and everyone of yous!

I look forward to shareing the New Year with you all...

shareing our ups and downs,

holding your hand and picking you up when you fall,

laughing and crying with you,

helping each other to grow!

Hubby and I will be spending this new years eve in our jammies snuggled on the couch watching the ball drop, wishing we were in New York {Time Square} {every year we say we are going to spend the next new years eve in new york!

We will toast the new year with sparkeling grape juice, and a big smooch!

Our kids will each call from wherever they are, hubbys' sis will call from whatever concert she is at, intoxicated and screaming Happy New Year Bro.....then around 1:30 hubbys' cousin will realize he had'nt called yet and he will call and wake us up to wish us happy new year and tell us how much he loves us and wishes we were there with him! Overly intoxicated as well!

Gotta love family! :-)

My Vintage Heart Swap

I have been wanting to do a swap for awhile now and I think this one best fits me and my personality!

I am a february baby .... born February 27th!

Valentines day is one of my favorite holidays!

I am romantic at heart!

I love pink, red and white!!!!

I love hearts and anything heart shaped.

I collect heart shaped rocks and just about anything heart shaped that crys out to me!

When I think valentines day I think hearts, romance, roses, and chocolates!

Mmmmmm.....

Here is the swap scoop.....

You will be paired with one partner.....

for your partner you will fill a container with hearts

The container can be of your choice, store bought or handmade...

ideas... heart shaped basket, bowl, box, stocking, bucket, etc
Fill it with anything with hearts on it or heart shaped!

examples, hankys, chocolates, vintage valentines, note pads, plate, bowl, candy dish, linens, laces, ribbon, scrapbooking goodies, candles, soaps, confetti, stickers, barrettes, etc.

My five simple requests are...

1. keep the color scheme pink, red and white

2. include at least one vintage heart item

3. all of the items have to be heart shaped or have hearts on them!

4. make sure your partner receives their goodies before valentines day February 14th!

5. please please please communicate with your partner!

I am suprised how many swaps I have done and not had my partner even say hi!
