We got SNOW....

How was your Thanksgiving?
Ours was wonderful!
I love that we had all of our children and grandchildren together laughing and playing!
And the weather downstate was almost fall like!
Mmmmmm.....

We got a blast of snow last night!
So I went for a walk to enjoy the beauty of the fresh fallen snow!!

Look how nice our old barn looks nestled in the snow!

I love the way the snow sits on the pine branches.

Walking in a winter wonder land! :-)

The gout is cleared up and she is able to walk again!
Amen!

Did somone say Cake?

With a cherry on top
You Are Strawberry Cake

Fresh, sassy, and romantic.

You're a total flirt, who never would turn down a sugary treat.

Occasionally you're a bit moody - but you usually stay sweet!

Rest in peace dear friend

My heart is breaking as my daughter and her friends
prepare to say good bye
to a good friend...

Chris is a real sweet heart!
His friends called him Harry Potter. {can you see the resemblance}
He was very intelligent and had a great sense of humor!
You will be missed Chris!

*************************************

The accident happened about 1:50 a.m. Friday in Isabella County's Vernon Township, according to Isabella County Sheriff Leo Mioduszewski.

Turpin was driving a 2006 Chrysler 300 at what the sheriff described as a "very high rate of speed" on North Isabella Road when he lost control of the car. Early reports were the vehicle was traveling at more than 100 mph.

Investigators say Turpin was driving north and went through the stop sign at Vernon Road. Turpin's car crossed the road, went through a ditch, went into a field and struck a corn planter, the sheriff said.

After hitting the piece of farm equipment, the Chrysler went airborne, hitting two trees off North Isabella Road in Vernon Township, he said.

The car flew for about 140 feet; while in the air, the Chrysler struck two trees and came to rest on the passenger side, Mioduszewski said.

Turpin was taken to Hurley by LifeNet Air Ambulance and died later Friday; Jackson was taken to CMCH by Mobile Medical Response Ambulance. Jackson was treated at the CMCH emergency room and released, according to a hospital spokesman.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the accident. Both Turpin and Jackson were wearing seat belts.

The accident remains under investigation, the sheriff said.

Turpin was an organ donor to the Gift of Life program, his family said. He is survived by his mother, Brenda Turpin , his father and stepmother, David and Michelle Turpin , a brother and two sisters.

Turpin had been scheduled to join the Army in January, according to his family.

Funeral services have been scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. John Boley and the Rev. Ronald Thompson co-officiating. Interment will follow in the Cemetery.

I hope and pray that all of Chris' family and friends are comforted
and held in Gods arms during this difficult time!
I pray that everyone comes to see just how fragile life is
and how short life is and can learn from this horrible tragedy!

PLEASE don't drink and drive and
DON'T drive with anyone who has been drinking

May you rest in peace dear sweet child of God.

Moms give your kids an extra hug today
and tell them just how much you love them!

Ain't no sunshine

Did you miss me?
I am here!
All done painting!
Ouuu it looks soooooo nice!
I love it!
You have all been so patient waiting for pictures
and I have been really wanting to show you.... really!
BUT... {everyone has a BUT}
We have not had any sunshine here in over a week!
It is almost impossible to get decent indoor pictures without sunshine.
Believe me I have tried!
If I use the flash the colors look washed out.
I can't get a true picture!
You girls will all have to come over to see it for yourselves!
:-)
Ouuu I'd love that!
But wear your snow shoes and warm mittens because we got lots of snow today!
Hurry now...
I have the tea made,
hot cocoa with marshmallows
and spiced coffee waiting to warm you!
:-)

Emma came to visit Miss Goosey

Hi Goosey

Do you want to come out and play?

I have treats for you Goosey.

Now that my friends is the only sunshine I have seen in days!

Help Wanted....

Oh yes my sweet friends...
we are STILL painting!
Still Still Still

Talk about great timing....
We emptied out the room,
plastered and sanded the walls,
Then both hubby and I got sick!
The room sat empty, begging to be finished...
But neither of us could do a thing!
We are starting to get our strength back and ready to rock and roll!
Look out blue tape and paint brushes here I come!
:-)

I will be painting and wallpapering this weekend...
what will you be doing?

Hugz, Dolly
