Waiting for Jesus

Dear friends
My heart is heavy today!
Last night mum told us she is ready to go to heaven, she wants to die!
Such hard words to hear coming from the person who gave birth to me, whom is always my strength and inspiration, someone I love so much!
Mum has always been so strong and lived a very simple life, loved everyone and accepted all for their good and never seen the bad in anyone.
I thanked her for being a wonderful mum and an awesome grandma to my children!
I asked her to come home with me so I can take care of her and be by her side when Jesus comes to take her home.
She said she didn't want to burden anyone or us have bad memories!
Even now she is still taking care of us.
Maybe its selfish of me but all I want is for her to come home with me, lay by her side and hold her hand as we wait for Jesus to come and take her home.
Maybe she will change her mind.....
We are meeting with the Hospice team today!
Thank you dear friends for your prayers.
Luv you all so much

Oh, Dolly, I'm so sorry to hear this. It's hard when your loved one talks this way and it is a sad time for you, I know. I will pray for you and may the Lord comfort your heart.

Blessings,
Sandi

I know the sadness you are going thru right now. Having lost my Mom just a little over a year ago. I too hope your Mom's time left with you is one creating more loving memories to cherish of her. You will be so grateful for this time with her!

Dolly....you climb in the bed with her there in the hospital...hang hospital rules!!!

You also tell her you will be alright...and you give her permission to leave...we mom's need to know our children will be alright...yes they will miss us...but it is okay for them to go...YOU WILL MISS HER AND LOVE HER>>>>but YOU WILL BE ALRIGHT.

I have told this too many waiting for their love ones to leave...after telling them that...the patient always looks so relaxed and then they can pass...knowing it is alright!! I encourage the families to hold their love ones...to climb in bed with them to sing and to talk to them...even if you think they can't hear you...the things I have seen in those last minutes is beautiful. I promise you we forget the pain after childbirth and when we hold that little one...you will also erase those last breaths...and you will remember the special times!!!

Praying for you and giving you a big hug!!! Cindy from Rick-Rack and Gingham

Dolly I will be praying for you and your mom. We are Spiritual volunteers with hospice in our area and if your group is anything like the hospice we work with they will be so helpful.

I think those last days together as a family at home can be so very precious and will pray that God will help your mom say yes to your desire.

Dolly, when there was nothing else they could do for my mother, one of us climbed into the hospital bed with her, held her hand, thanked her for being our mother, and told her if she needed to go we would be alright because of all the things she had taught us. The nurses never said anything - we even brought blow up beds and stayed throughout the night. You just need to be there for her if she won't go home with you. That is what she needs most. Prayers to you and your family,
Brenda

Oh Dolly, I remember my mother telling me those same words. It was hard but the Lord helped me to be strong for her and I know the Lord is helping you, too. ((HUG))

Oh Dear Dolly. My heart goes out to you. It is as hard to see our loved ones go through illness as it is to think about them leaving us. I hope you can talk your mother into coming home with you. It is a special and loving experience to have someone at home at a time like this. I went through it with my sister and grandmother and I was so grateful that they were never alone. You and your mom will be in my prayers.

Hugs
Kathy

oh dear Dolly. How hard this must be for you. I will just pray that Gods will be done, and that your mother will be comfortable regardless of where she is. I do hope she will decide to come home with you. I wish I could be there to make a casserole or run the vacuum for you.. just something to make you day easier...
Just know that I'm sending up some prayers!

Dolly, you brought tears to my eyes. My mom died a few years ago and she had made that decision also. It's very hard on us even now when I think about her decision; I was just thinking how nice it would be to go camping with her and Dad this weekend. Oh well, we cannot force someone to do what we want them to do. Keep the good memories of your mother close to your heart always! And God Bless you and your mother.
