Rest in Peace

9 am Sunday morning hubbys' dear cousin was found in a ditch still alive after being hit by a drunk driver around 1 am.
The driver apparently was at the same wedding Johnny had attended that evening.
He had struck Johnny with his car, went home and went to sleep, the next morning he called his lawyer to say he had hit someone while driving home the night before!
Johnny did not survive, blunt forced tramma and the cold night had taken his life.
He walks with Jesus now and will always be in our hearts!
The horror of the story is a daughter lost her father,
a mother and father lost their only son on mothers day,
our family and friends are heart broken!
Please don't not drink and drive
and
please support mothers against drunk drivers!

God Bless dear friend

Oh how horribly sad Dolly, I am so sorry. Drunk drivers are so selfish. My sister will forever have sad Mother's Days after having her 18 year old son killed by one as well. When will people stop being to stupid?
Our hearts and prayers go out to you.
Sparkly Hugs,
Tobi

Thank you dear friends with all my heart! Your thoughts and prayers mean a lot to us during this difficult time!
We have a long road ahead of us but I do think we all need to fight for stricter laws against drunk driving!
It could be yours, your childs' life, your parents or siblings life we save!
I am outraged that this man has several drunk driving arrests and is still driving drunk....I pray this wakes him up! He has to live with this the rest of his life!

My heart goes out to you and your family. Unfortunately we have people who drive that way every day and get a way with it. The punishment when caught should be a lot stronger then it is. We have a person who has had 8 dwi's and he is still driving probably without insurance. Take care. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Dolly,
I can't help but shed tears for you and the family for the long painful road a head.
SUCH A "SENSELESS" DEATH...AND TO HIT SOMEBODY AND GO HOME AND SLEEP UNTIL THE NEXT DAY. SO VERY TRAGIC.
THERE IS A LADY IN OUR TOWN THAT LOST HER 4 DAUGHTERS AND EX HUSBAND WHEN A DRUNK DRIVER HIT THEM HEAD ON, ON THE WAY FOR THE DADDY TO TAKE THEM BACK HOME TO MAMA FROM HIS VISIT TIME.
IT JUST HAPPENS OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
I AM SO VERY SORRY.
MY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU.
HUGS AND GOD'S PEACE SURROUND YOU

You are in my prayers!

We had an elderly friend who was walking and hit by a hit and run driver and left on the side of the road.

Amazingly, he survived and eventually recovered.

Drinking and driving never mix.

Absolutely heartbreaking...and so senseless. People should not be touched with this kind of pain, I will never understand people who drink, much less drink and drive.
And to lose your only child, esp. on Mother's Day, and for a little girl to lose her daddy, I can't even imagine.
Thoughts and prayers for your family and esp. his parents and daughter, just heartbreaking.

Dolly
How tragic! My best friends 16 year old son was killed by a drunk driver 5 minutes from home. The driver tried to flee on foot and was caught. He did instantly after being ejected through the rear window, his shoes were still in the car and his seat belt strap still locked in place, he was literally pulled through it on impact. Its been 8 years and still horrible as the day it happened for his mother, and the family and friends, all senseless due to alcohol abuse! Take care, I'm sorry for the loss of a dear one. Lori
