Spring Tease

YES YES YES......
I am loving this wonderful spring like weather God has blessed us with these past few days!

Even though we still have plenty of snow left {a lot has melted}
I couldn't wait to hang my bedding on the line to dry!

I love love love sun dried laundry!
It smells so fresh and wonderful!
Yes I do hang my laundry out all winter {it's called freeze dried} :-)
Do you wanna bet my neighbors think I am crazy! {te-hee}

Today the sun was shinning bright so it dried pretty fast!

And since we have been cooped up all winter we decided to take advantage of this wonderful day and do some yard work!
I had a few pines to cut down....
Wonderful day to burn them since we didn't have to worry about causing a forest fire!
Anyone ready to roast marshmallows?
I am walking on sunshine today!
~~ Hope you are too ~~

Hugz, Dolly

'Tis wonderful to throw off the confines of winter and pretend that SPRING has arrived in Michigan! I hung out laundry and washed windows on the lower story, the upper story will have to wait for now...

Love your laundry on the line photo!

Hi Dolly,

Oh you sound so happy, and your weather looks wonderful. I'm so glad you got to do some outdoor things. Our weather has been so rainy, then sunny, then rainy, then sunny, you get the idea. It's awesome for the plants and spring flowers, but heck on allergies, and those of us with pain issues. Have fun!

Hugs,
Meri

it was a sunny day here too! Just wish I could have stayed home to enjoy it! I still have christmas garlands and wreaths up on the front of my house.. today would have been a perfect day to take them down. I would like a month off!

There definitely is something about the smell of the laundry when you hang them outside. I love the picture of your laundry hanging outside in the snow. I can remember during my childhood of my mother hanging out clothes and letting them freeze dry. thank you for sharing.

Your linens look so pretty on the line! I hung blankets on the line yesterday! They didn't totally dry but I figured yesterday was going to be my best bet! ♥

How nice you can hang your laundry out. We have one of the horrible HOAs and a little rule stating you can't have a clothesline. Isn't that stupid? I usually drape anything large I would like to air-dry over my lawn chairs on my screened-in porch. Lovely photo of linens on the line with the snow below.

Nothing quite like line dried bedding. No matter the weather my laundry is all line dried but I don't live where it snows

Hey Dolly,
I'm glad you like my cottage kitchen reno! Boy was it a lot of work, but OH SO worth it! :) The backsplash goes up REALLY easy and cuts with kitchen scissors. :) OH and lucky you, it comes in white! I started to get white, but my kitchen already had so much white in it that I thought the crosshatched silver would add a touch of metallic shine. :) The white was also a little too shiny for me. (it doesn't come in a flat white) You can get a paintable one though. I think the paintable and the white have to be ordered. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my backsplash! (and glad you did too!) :)
Have a wonderfully blessed day!

Hi Dolly:
There really is nothing quite like the smell of laundry that has dried on the line. Mother Nature's very own "dryer sheet" scent! ;-)

Thanks for visiting Brynwood and posting my giveaway on your blog. Two entries for you!
Good luck!
See you again soon.

Dolly,
I bought the wallpaper you like from Ebay a long time ago. The sellers name was frank-ant and it was listed under Toile de Jouy, but I looked and he doesn't have any listed. you might want to do a search and find him, then ask about the paper. It's actual name is Victorian Charm and it was made by the Warner Company, but like I said, that's not what he had it listed under. :) Hope you can find some and I hope it's not dicontinued. :-o
Have a great day!

Hi Dolly-belle,

The sun is shining bright here in MA today too and it actually feels like spring. Just perfect temp. I went for a power walk this morning for about 30 minutes. It felt great. Now I have to do it everyday!

I can't wait to send you your May Day tussie! lol

Hi Dolly! It's so nice to meet you!
Your blog is soooo pretty. I had seen this layout before, and I am loving it. I was reading your profile, and I said, Oh my goodness she likes the same things I do. Victorian, Shabby Chic, vintage, etc. My living room is cottage, and my kitchen is vintage country. I also love a lot of pink. I was lucky to have 3 girls, and hubby doesn't mind the pink at all. :) I am also a grandma to 2 boys. your grandaughter is so adorable! Please come by for a visit, and I will be back. I have marked you as a favorite!
