WELCOME SPRING.....

Spring has finally sprung darlin.....

Ouuu.... it is my favorite season....

I love all the newness!
The new grass, the new leaves on the trees, the new flowers and new birdies!
Come.... take a walk with me to see whats NEW in the garden this morning.

A momma bird has built her nest just above the door to our future guest cottage!
{right now it is our daughters' hang out "shack"}
We are all excited,
waiting for the first eggs
and then the first babies to poke their lil beaks out!

Hmmm... the pink/purple tulips are just about to open!
The daffodils are such frilly little girls.... they make me smile!
God painted the violas with such vibrant colors!
Don't you love their delicate lil faces!
I am not sure what kind of tree this is but I sure enjoy her blossoms each spring!
Some call the violet a weed.... I call it a welcome guest!
She grows freely where ever she wants to in our yard.
We have some in the grass and some in the flower beds and some in the cracks of the cobblestone paths!

Oh my.... the hens and chickens have mulitpied!
We have lots of babies this year!
Oh I wish you could feel this plant!
It's called lambs ear but we call it bunny ears!
It is so soft it actually feels just like bunny ears!
Children love to play with it!
My hosta bed is waking up!
The leaves are pokeing out and unwhirling!
I do hope my peonys have lots of huge blooms this year!
I anticipate a vase full that you can smell through out the whole house!
The lilac trees are loaded with buds!
Ouuuuuu don't you love the smell of lilac trees when they are all in bloom?
My earliest memory in the garden was mommas lilac tress that bloom every mothers day!

Thank you joining me!
I wish you all a wonderful and blessed mothers day!
Hugz,

Isn't spring in Michigan wonderful Dolly?! I love the violets too, how could anyone think of them as a weed? My lilacs are just beginning to show color. You have a beautiful garden:>) Have a wonderful Mothers Day weekend!

Yup, we just got up to our cottage late this afternoon and I see Spring has sprung up here too!! Wonderful!! Hubby overseeded the lawn, I fertilized my perennials and acid loving plants. Tomorrow I put down more mulch!! Everything looks soooo lovely. Tomorrow, we're taking my parents into West Branch for Dinner. Probably Willow Tree or Lumber Jack. Not sure which one yet. Both are good.

Happy Mother's Day!!

Blessings,

Sher

Just beautiful Dolly!! I love the little bird's nest. I was so excited yesterday because a mama robin was starting to build her nest on an eave of our porch--perfectly viewable from my chair in front of the computer!! yeah! But we are having a windy couple of days and every time she goes for more nesting materials, the stuff she started blows away. It looks like she may have abandoned the idea, and I am so sad. So I guess I'll have to live vicariously through you if I want to see baby birds!

Smiles, Karen
