Oh Deer.....

I have spring fever....... {in my whiney voice}
SNOW SNOW GO AWAY.......
Come Back SOME OTHER DAY!

I thought I'd share more of our wonderful country living with you.
Hubby and I enjoy feeding the wildlife.

We have wild turkeys, deer, coons, possum, birds, you name it, visit our yard periodically!
I think the deer are our favorites to watch!
We can sit at the dinning room table and watch them eat and frolic about the yard!

The feeder shown is about 20 yards from the side porch, close enough that we can really enjoy them!
The deer are so used to us that we can walk out on the porch and not freighten them away!

This winter we have had well over 30 deer at the feeder at one time.

{enlarge the picture}
They are such beautiful creatures!
It's funny when the timer goes off for the feeder to shoot corn out the deer come running out of the woods as if someone was ringing the dinner bell!
A few are preggo so we are excited to see their babies this spring!

Have a happy day,
Hugz,

Oh Dolly what a beautiful site!! What I wouldn't give to have the country life, but saddly between John and mines health we'll just have to stay in the city. I guess I should have moved years ago before homes became outrageously priced! Enjoy some deer for me! Love, Lori

Oh Dolly,
That is the coolest picture of the deer eating. My kids would be nuts if that happened here in our backyard.
We had a few snow flurries this past weekend that lasted all of 15 min. Now we have 73degree weather, go figure.

Wow sooo many deers! Beautiful! We used to have them in the garden when I grew up, but my mum hated them as they ate all her flowers ;-)

awesome picture of your dear deer! I think its illegal to feed them here. but people do anyways.. there was a lady in buffalo arrested because she kept feeding them in a public park afer being repeatedly warned not too.. Maybe its only illegal in parks..
iN anycase.. We've had deer in our yard a couple times.. we've had whopping cranes, giant mud turtles, owls, raccoons, possums, lost baby cows... Ha!
well have a good week Dolly!

Dear Dolly, I love it that you feed the deer. It was such a long hard winter I'm sure they are thankful. I have just recently acquired two possums- I just love them! Our neighbor keeps trying to shoot them so I am feeding them to keep them close and our of harm's way. Spring will come! Take care, Stephanie
